JOB ANNOUCEMENT:
Lake Havasu City is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Planning Technician to join our Development Services team. The ideal candidate will support the Planning Division by assisting with development application processing, customer service, zoning research, data management, and general administrative tasks.
This is an excellent opportunity for an individual interested in urban planning, land use, or public administration to gain valuable experience in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Respond to public inquiries regarding zoning, land use, and permit requirements.
- Review applications for zoning compliance and completeness.
- Assist with preparation of planning documents, reports, and public notices.
- Performs basic level planning inspections and site postings.
- Provide coverage for the Development Services front counter.

- Collaborative team-player-successful candidate is dependable, organized, and takes initiative in supporting planning staff and coordinating with other departments.

Minimum Qualifications:
- Associate’s Degree in Development or Management.
- Less than 6 months experience in Development or Management.
- Valid driver license required.
